Floral Expressions has been in business in Janesville since 1990. A passion for design excellence and outstanding customer service were the motivating factors which drove the company’s founders Brad Harnisch and Magda Nelson to open the full service floral retail establishment in April of that year. Since Magda’s retirement in 2000, Brad has been the sole owner of Floral Expressions

Situated in the heart of downtown Janesville, the store features enchanting vignettes of custom-designed silk flower arrangements, wall and door décor, decorative home accessories and gifts. The store décor changes seasonally with annual Spring and Holiday Open Houses to kick off the particular seasons. Their Holiday Open House in November is a guaranteed memorable must-see.

In addition to presenting design programs to inspire floral industry professionals and local garden clubs, the design work of Floral Expressions staff members has been featured in industry publications such as “Flowers &” Magazine and most recently in “The Bride and Bloom” Magazine. Brad and Kelly Harnisch also participated on the floral design team for the two presidential inaugurations of George W. Bush. In addition to Brad and Kelly Harnisch, Jan Andersen, a staff member since 1996, are all members of The American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD). To be recognized as an AIFD member, individuals must pass a rigorous testing procedure of design knowledge and skill. AIFD is the floral industry’s highest recognition of design excellence.
