Janesville Area CrimeStoppers would like to thank the citizens of Janesville and northern Rock County for their continued support. Without assistance from the community, CrimeStoppers would not be able to successfully aid local law enforcement in arresting criminals and recovering stolen property.

CrimeStoppers assists law enforcement by providing an anonymous tip phone line (756-3636). This number allows individuals to anonymously call in their information about felony crimes, drugs, wanted fugitives or stolen property.

Callers that provide tips and information that lead to the arrest of an individual may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000. These awards are provided by donations from the public and by Janesville’s corporate sponsor Pavlik Brothers Heating and Cooling. Additionally, CrimeStoppers holds a golf outing fundraiser each June.

CrimeStoppers also supports the community through scholarships, grants and functions for the entire family. Examples of community events include National Night Out, Back to School Night and Family Fun Fest.

Since its inception in Janesville in 1983, CrimeStoppers has received 2,603 phone calls. These calls have assisted in the recovery of $189,511.14 in money, the recovery of $457,591.32 in property, the seizure of $346,203.50 in narcotics and have led to the arrest of 1141 individuals. These efforts would not have been possible without the continued support by the community and the dedication of the local CrimeStoppers Board of Directors.
